Pricing and data
Faster quotes and numbers you can trust.
Years of past jobs turned into faster quotes and sharper pricing, and reporting that shows what a job has cost today, not at month end.
01What it is
Most businesses already own their best pricing tool: years of past quotes, tenders and job costs. It’s just locked in old files nobody has time to search, so every estimate starts from scratch and every month-end report is rebuilt by hand.
We turn that history into something you can use. New line items are matched against past rates, so estimators review prices instead of hunting for them. Job costs are calculated as work is recorded, budgets are compared with actuals at every level of detail, and approved forecasts become the baseline the job is measured against.
02Where it pays
- Tender and quote pricing from your own historical rates
- Live cost to date on every job, straight from site records
- Budget against actual by job, cost category and line item
- Monthly forecasts to complete that carry straight into the reports
- Reports the owner trusts because every number traces back to its entries
03How we build it
Your history first
The records you already have are usually enough. We clean and structure them before adding anything clever.
One calculation
Every report reads from the same calculation, so the numbers cannot drift apart.
Review, not replace
Confident matches price themselves, close calls show the nearest rates, and anything new is flagged for the estimator.
Traceable
Every figure can be followed back to the entries behind it.
Systems we’ve built
Questions owners ask
Can our past quotes really speed up pricing?
Usually, if you have a few years of them. One consultancy went from about two days to fifteen minutes of machine time plus an hour of review to price a tender schedule, by matching each new line item against its own historical rates.
Our data is a mess. Is that a problem?
It’s normal, and cleaning it up is part of the work. On one of our machine learning systems, building the training data was most of the job, which is usually true and rarely budgeted for.
Will it set our prices for us?
No. It finds the comparable rates and shows its working, and the estimator decides. Pricing is a judgement call, and it stays yours.
Do we need a data warehouse or a dashboard tool?
Not to start. A few reports built on one trusted calculation usually beat a dashboard sitting on numbers that disagree. If you already use a reporting tool, we feed it.
Got work your team shouldn’t be doing by hand?
Tell us how the business runs and where the time goes. We’ll tell you honestly what’s worth building, and what isn’t.
