Document intelligence
Paperwork read into data, then checked.
Permits, contracts, invoices and plans read into structured data, with a confidence score on every field and a person checking anything uncertain.
01What it is
A lot of business information still arrives as documents: supplier invoices, planning permits, contracts, delivery dockets and drawings. Someone reads each one and types what matters into another system. It’s slow, it’s easy to get wrong, and it’s rarely the work anyone was hired to do.
Document processing software reads those documents and turns them into structured data. Modern models read far better than the OCR of a few years ago, but the reading is the easy part. The value is in what surrounds it: a confidence score on every field, checks against the data you already hold, and a clear route to a person whenever the system is unsure.
02Where it pays
- Supplier invoices read, checked and entered without the typing
- Invoices reconciled line by line against the costs recorded on site
- Planning permits turned into a condition tracker, with the source page on every condition
- Freight document exceptions triaged by type, severity and next action
- Data recovered from drawings and plans that have no structured source
03How we build it
A score on every field
High-confidence values flow straight through. Low-confidence ones go to a person with the reason attached.
Checked, not just read
Extracted data is compared with what you already know, such as orders and site records, rather than trusted on sight.
Tested on your documents
Accuracy is measured on your own paperwork before anyone relies on it.
The source stays one click away
Every value records where it came from, so checking it takes seconds.
Systems we’ve built
Questions owners ask
How accurately can AI extract data from PDFs?
It depends on the documents, which is why we measure it on yours before anyone relies on it. On planning permits of ten to forty pages, the system reached 89% full-condition accuracy: roughly nine permits in ten needed no human correction. Anything below the confidence threshold goes to a person rather than through.
What kinds of documents can you process?
Invoices, permits, contracts, dockets, forms, reports and drawings, whether they arrive as PDFs, scans or photos. Handwriting and poor scans are harder, so we test them before promising anything.
Our accounting software already reads invoices. Why would we need this?
For simple invoice capture the built-in tools are often enough, and we’ll say so. Custom processing earns its place when the check is specific to your business, such as matching invoices to site records, or when no product understands the document at all, as with permits and plans.
Does a person still need to check the results?
For anything the system is unsure about, yes, and that is by design. The aim is that people check the exceptions rather than every line.
