01The problem

Time claims and site records were filled in by different people and never compared. Hours that did not happen were paid, and hours that did were missed, until someone noticed weeks later.

02What we built

A rules-based check that pairs each person’s claimed hours with the labour recorded on site for the same day and flags the differences: missing records on either side, hours that do not line up, the wrong job, and anything that needs a person to confirm.

03The result

Problems surface before the pay run, each with the day, the person and the reason, so the office checks the exceptions rather than every line.
